Be honest now: did you really expect the Los Angeles Dodgers to rally back from a pitiful start to the season and win the NL West? Well, if you answered yes to that question then kudos to you, because MLB pundits left the Don Mattingly-led Dodgers for dead as recent as three months ago. Either way, Los Angeles is back in the postseason, which means it’s time to celebrate!
As fate would have it; the Dodgers just happened to earn their division-clinching victory in the only MLB stadium that has a pool. Chase Field.
Of course, the team from Hollywood couldn’t let this golden opportunity go to waste as nearly the entire team trekked from the clubhouse to the right-field bleachers where a splashing celebration was soon to come. That’s right — the Dodgers not only beat the Arizona Diamondbacks on their home turf, the visiting club also went on to swim in the D-Backs’ pool!
Something tells me that the makers of Chase Field weren’t envisioning this moment when the blueprints for the stadium were being made. At the end of the day; Los Angeles persevered through a season full of ups and downs and now it stands alone atop the always-competitive NL West, so they deserve a refreshing dip.
