College football is starting to heat up as the upsets are beginning to pile up across the nation. On Saturday, the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys were downed by the unranked West Virginia Mountaineers, whose fan base might still be celebrating!
This was a total dud for Mike Gundy‘s club as the Cowboys came into Mountaineers’ territory without much of a spark. On the other hand, West Virginia used the home crowd to its advantage and rebounded from last week’s loss to the Maryland Terrapins in grand fashion. In a shocking turn of events, the Mountaineers handed the Cowboys their first loss by a score of 30-21.
An Oklahoma State loss really shakes up the Big 12, as the Mountaineers weren’t expected to win this game in the least. With that being said, the No.19 Baylor Bears take on West Virginia next week, which means the Mountaineers could have upset on their minds for a second straight week. For now, the Mountaineers enjoy this big win, while the Cowboys head back to Oklahoma without a perfect record.
