Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 5

Another Sunday of NFL football, another new name of players to scoop up for your fantasy team as quickly as possible. If you need help because of injury, bye weeks or anything else, target these players on the waiver wire this week:

Coby Fleener posted a great stat line against the Jacksonville Jaguars with 77 yards and a score on five catches. With Dwayne Allen on IR, Fleener could be a great sleeper for the rest of the season.

It seems like Alshon Jeffery is always on this list, but he was the lone bright spot for the Chicago Bears in a loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Jeffery should continue to see plenty of targets with defenses focusing on Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte.

Nate Washington has now had two big games in a row, so he should be added in all formats. Even when Jake Locker got hurt, Washington hauled in a 77-yard score from Ryan Fitzpatrick. This guy is going to be solid for the rest of the year.

Brian Hoyer was at it again in Week 4. He threw for 269 more yards and another pair of touchdowns in his second straight win. Brandon Weeden is out and Hoyer is in for the Cleveland Browns he’s a great bye-week fill in and backup quarterback for your fantasy team.

Roy Helu re-emerged in fantasy land in Week 4 when Alfred Morris was sidelined with bruised ribs. The former starter made the most of it with 84 total yards and a touchdown and he could be a great play after the Washington Redskins‘ bye week if Morris is still out.
