They may only reside one state away from one another, but the current landscape of the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Jacksonville Jaguars couldn’t be more different. Alabama is on a quest for their third straight national title while the lowly Jaguars find themselves on a quest to…find their third fan. So with the Crimson Tide atop the NCAA and the Jaguars at the bottom of the NFL, it’s natural that we ask the million-dollar question: Who wins in a matchup of the NCAA’s best against the NFL’s worst?
At first glance, you might think that it seems plausible – maybe even likely – for Alabama’s future NFLers to take it to the Jags; I mean, they’ve got Nick Saban, senior quarterback AJ McCarron, a slew of future pros on their sideline. Jacksonville on the other hand, has Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne, and a half empty stadium.
But despite discrepancy of big names between the two, let me assure you that the Jaguars would make the field run red with the blood of the Tide should these two teams ever meet. As fun as it is to speculate, this would simply be a matchup of grown men against boys; as the Jaguars would use their years of advanced competition, experience, weight lifting and training to dismantle the collegiate program, without question.
Keep in mind that even the NFL’s worst players – were at one point – the NCAA’s best, so, matching up these two teams would simply be pitting Alabama’s current pool of top talent against an all star team of former collegiate talents compiled over the years. So in short, the only thing that would make this game even worth watching: is Katherine Webb.
