NFL Injury Report for Week 5

Bye weeks have become an issue for many NFL teams and fantasy football owners, but with all the injuries suffered in the last slate of games, football teams on the field and on the computer need all the help they can get in Week 5.

Darren McFadden and Marcel Reece will likely miss Week 5, so Rashad Jennings will start at running back for the Oakland Raiders while Terrelle Pryor is expected to be back under center.

Rob Gronkowski and Danny Woodhead both have “good chances” to play in Week 5 according to some reports, but this boy-who-cried-wolf situation has taught us better than that.

Steven Jackson will finally be back for the Atlanta Falcons this week, which will be key to the team getting its second win of the season against the New York Jets.

CJ Spiller hasn’t practiced this week, but is still expected to play while Fred Jackson has been a limited participant in practice and is questionable. Considering the Buffalo Bills play on Thursday night, steer clear of both players this week.

Johnathan Franklin and James Starks are both trying to get healthy for Week 5 and the thought up north is the former will start this week, although picking a viable Green Bay Packers running back in fantasy land is like Russian roulette, so good luck with that one.
