The fifth week of NFL action is here and that means another monster showdown that is sure to dominate TV ratings on Sunday. When the undefeated Seattle Seahawks visit the 3-1 Indianapolis Colts, sparks will fly in an intriguing contest that deserves this much attention. I mean really, who doesn’t love an inter-conference matchup that features two awesome sophomore quarterbacks?
Seattle is coming off an epic comeback, overtime road win over the Houston Texans that has given this already dominant team a boost in confidence at the quarter mark of the season. Russell Wilson is playing well, Marshawn Lynch has been unstoppable at times this year and Richard Sherman leads a Seahawks defense that is the finest in the NFL. That could spell trouble for Andrew Luck.
But the thing folks seem to forget about the Colts’ new signal-caller is that he’s not only a brilliant quarterback, he’s one heck of an athlete as well. Wilson is morel likely to take off on a long run, but Luck is just as capable, which means he could get the job done with his legs if Seattle puts pressure on him in the pocket.
The key to this game will be the Colts staying balanced on offense. It was easy for them in Week 4 when Trent Richardson carried the ball 20 times against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Seahawks won’t give up yards so easily. Look for this one to go down to the wire and the home team to somehow pull it out in the end.
