Michael Vick Injured Once Again; Nick Foles Helps Eagles Soar Past Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles have grown accustomed to being without their starting quarterback for long periods of time. Therefore, when Michael Vick left Sunday’s game with an injured left hamstring, the Eagles knew the drill.
Nick Foles stepped in like he has done so often and managed to guide Philadelphia to victory after coming into the game with a nine-point advantage. As a second-year quarterback, Foles has gotten plenty of opportunities as Vick’s injury-prone ways have opened the door underneath center more than once.
Thankfully, Foles came into this game with the New York Giants‘ defense opposing him, which shouldn’t be a tough task for even the most amateur quarterbacks. Don’t look know, but the Dallas Cowboys‘ heart-breaking loss on Sunday has given the 2-3 Eagles a glimpse of hope as they now share the NFC East crown with the Cowboys.
