If you have Jimmy Graham on your fantasy team, then you probably weren’t in a good mood on Sunday…or Monday, for that matter. The New Orleans Saints‘ incredible tight end was held without a catch for the first time since his rookie season and left his team’s loss to the Patriots with a foot injury. However, fantasy owners don’t need to panic…yet.
Graham underwent an MRI on Monday and although the official results weren’t released, the team is planning on No. 80 suiting up in Week 8 following the Saints’ bye. That’s fantastic news for fantasy owners, as is the news that Graham is having his foot “further evaluated,” which most likely means the MRI came back squeaky clean and he’s just being careful.
But again, fantasy owners were going to have to find at least a one-week replacement for Graham anyway as New Orleans is on a bye in Week 7. A great option for fantasy owners is Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller, who has been every bit of his former self this year since returning from injury in Week 3. Scoop up Miller, play him in Week 7 and then you’ll have a viable fill-in just in case Graham isn’t ready to go in Week 8, but he will be.
