Heisman Hopeful Jameis Winston Bests Tajh Boyd; Seminoles Eye BCS Title

The Florida State Seminoles made a statement on Saturday night.

Not only do the Seminoles posses one of the best defenses in college football, but their signal caller might just be the best in the nation. Jameis Winston burst onto the scene way back in week one of the 2013 season, and he’s gone from an overnight sensation to a front-runner for the Heisman Trophy! Even one loves to talk about Heisman hopefuls and rightfully so, yet this win by Florida State is more important than some bronze statue.

With a very convincing win against the Clemson Tigers in Week 8, the Seminoles are now 7-0 and have the look of a BCS Title contender. In fact, there is talk that the ‘Noles might just leap the No. 2 Oregon Ducks in the top-25 after absolutely dismantling the Tigers on national television. Either way, the Seminoles won’t be ranked any higher than No. 3, which means that this Winston-led team could be closer to the National Championship Game than the Alabama Crimson Tide would like.
