Texans Have Bright Future With Case Keenum At QB; Chiefs Remain Undefeated

The Houston Texans have been decimated by injury in 2013.

In fact, after the Texans’ Week 8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, many fans were wondering which players weren’t hurt. Key players Matt Schaub and Owen Daniels missed Sunday’s game to begin with, but the injury bug bit hard on the Texans’ rear yet again. First off, linebacker Brian Cushing suffered a season-ending injury for the second straight year as the All-Pro broke his left leg and tore his LCL.

However, the bad news doesn’t stop there as Texans running back Arian Foster also left Sunday’s game with a severe hamstring injury.

Alright, enough bad news. Case Keenum quarterbacked the Texans on Sunday for the first time in his NFL career and nearly defeated Alex Smith and the undefeated Chiefs with 271 passing yards and a touchdown through the air. So while the Texans leave Kansas City with a few more names on the injury report; at least Keenum has shown that he belongs at the NFL level.
