Florida State’s Big Jump Highlights College Football Top 25, BCS Standings
College football is greater than it’s ever been. We’ve had our second Shakeup Saturday in a row, which knocked out a slew of undefeated teams that were once thought to be contenders, but turned out to be pretenders. It also put one rising team near the top and that’s sure to create some controversy later this season.
Florida State is now No. 3 in our standings as the Seminoles leapfrogged Ohio State after thrashing previously No. 3 Clemson, but that actually did them more good in the first set of BCS standings for 2013 because if the season ended today, FSU would be playing Alabama in the national championship game.
Of course, that’s not all. Five highly-ranked teams lost in Week 8 and all but one of them fell out of the top 10 entirely. Pretty much all of those teams are now out of the national title race, but that’s especially true for one particular team and its Heisman hopeful quarterback, who is pretty much done in that race for individual hardware.
So to see the complete list of standings and how the national championship picture looks now after a ton of shakeups, check out the official college football top 25 rankings by clicking HERE.
