Things went from bad to worse for the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, and not just because St. Louis fell to 3-4 on the season with a 15-point loss to the Panthers. Sam Bradford tore his ACL in the game, so he’ll miss the rest of the season. With Kellen Clemens as the only quarterback on their roster now, it’s already been reported the Rams are seriously considering signing Tim Tebow for the remainder of the season.
Now one thing is for sure: the Rams will be signing at least one free agent quarterback this week, and probably two. Whether or not one of those signal-callers is Tebow is yet to be decided, but at this point, the St. Louis would be foolish not to bring in the polarizing passer.
Look, Tebow isn’t the worst quarterback in the league as some make him out to be and he’s certainly a crowd favorite no matter where or how he plays and as bad as the Rams have been in recent years, they’d be wise to use Tebow as a way to sell tickets for the rest of this season if nothing else. And how knows? The Houston Texans struck gold with Case Keenum in a what-the-heck situation on Sunday and the Rams have nothing to lose at this point.
