Fantasy Football Start’em, Sit’em: Week 8

Week 8 of the fantasy football season is upon us and many owners are in must-win situations to stay alive before the playoff stretch run officially begins. If you’re in that situation, we’ve got you covered for this week:

Eli Manning didn’t throw an interception in Week 7, believe it or not, and he has a terrific matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, so start him if you have him. The quarterback you should sit this week is Terrelle Pryor, who is facing a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that’s given up the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing passers this year.

Eddie Lacy is returning to form and he should continue to tear things up against the Minnesota Vikings, who have given more fantasy points to running backs than any other team except the Washington Redskins. On the flip side, Zac Stacy is finally starting to come into his own, but the Seattle Seahawks offer a horrible matchup and the Rams will be without Sam Bradford, so sit Stacy this week.

Pierre Garcon hasn’t been great over the past month, but the Denver Broncos offer a chance for him to turn things around, so start him with confidence this week. But if you weren’t planning on sitting Dwayne Bowe already, plan on it now because it will be a long day for him against Joe Haden on Sunday.

Kyle Rudolph has been a disappointment so far this year, but this week he’s playing the Green Bay Packers, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year, so Rudolph is a solid roll of the dice. However, don’t gamble on Zach Miller, who scored in Week 7, but goes up against the St. Louis Rams, who have been more than tough on opposing tight ends this year.

And we don’t do kickers because that’s lame. Good luck in Week 8!
