NFL Game of the Week: Cowboys at Lions

Don’t look now but the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are both 4-3 and in the thick of the NFC playoff race. That means the matchup is a critical one for both teams as both Dallas and Detroit are out to prove they’re not just pretenders. And if you like scoring, make sure you’re in front of the TV for this one.

The Cowboys and Lions boast the third- and eighth-best scoring offenses in the NFL, respectively with the eighth- and fifth-most passing yards. Put simply, these teams like to throw the ball and they put points on the board in a hurry. Heck, the Cowboys played in the fourth highest-scoring game in NFL history this year, so they have a knack for getting into shootouts, no pun intended.

This game is especially crucial for these teams because the loser will be back at .500 and that’s the last thing these mentally-weak squads need. Look for Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson to try and top each other as the game goes on, which should equal a lot of fantasy points and a lot of happy football fans on couches across America.
