2013 World Series Not Over; Cardinals Must Slow Down David Ortiz in Game 6

The Boston Red Sox have taken a 3-2 lead on the St. Louis Cardinals as the Fall Classic is starting to run out of gas. After three games in St. Louis the Red Sox will now hop on a plane and head back to Beantown where John Farrell‘s club hopes to be celebrating a World Series title. But before any champagne bottles are popped the Sox will have to get the best of Cardinals ace Michael Wacha, who has been excellent all postseason long.

I understand that the vibe in St Louis has taken a hit after dropping two straight home games, but this World Series is far from over. You see; since 1985 the team that has gone down 2-3 in the Fall Classic has come back to win it all 50% of the time, which means no one in Cardinal red should be panicking.

However, if the Cardinals are to come back then they must find an answer to David Ortiz. This guy is on a absolute tear with a .733 batting average in the World Series — that is unheard of! So, with their backs against the wall let’s see if Wacha and company can find a way to cool off Big Papi.
