Fantasy Sleepers for Week 9

The fantasy football season is halfway over, which means the bye weeks are killing owners everywhere. If you’re hurting in Week 9, here are some sleepers that could help you to a surprise win:

Alex Smith has been consistent all year for the Kansas City Chiefs, but not necessarily for fantasy owners. However, he’s facing a Buffalo Bills secondary that has been torched all year long, so he’s definitely a solid bye week fill-in and overall sleeper.

Kyle Rudolph has been a huge disappointment this year, but he again has a terrific matchup in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys, which makes him a deep sleeper.

Giovani Bernard has cooled off after his hot start to the year, but the Miami Dolphins‘ defense has been more than kind to opposing running backs in 2013, so expect Gio to get back on track.

Donnie Avery had one good game in Week 3 and has done nothing since, but he’s facing the Bills this week, a team that has given up more fantasy point to opposing receivers than any other team this year. And with Buffalo focusing on Dwayne Bowe, Avery could surprise everyone with a nice state line.

Ted Ginn Jr. is getting more and more targets each week and this week he has a great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons‘ porous secondary, so he’s definitely worth a roll of the dice.
