Aaron Rodgers’ Injury Makes Life Tough for Fantasy Owners in Week 10, Beyond

When Aaron Rodgers went down in the first quarter of the Green Bay Packers’ Week 9 loss to the Chicago Bears, the whole football world cringed because Rodgers is an integral part to every fantasy football team in the world. He’s initially been ruled out for three weeks, but speculation is it could be longer than that. So if your fantasy team now looks doomed, we’re here to help.

As Rant Sports writers Bill Pivetz and Matthew Woods point out, there are some solid Week 10 waiver-wire replacement options for Rodgers to get you past the short-term. In fact, some of those players could be decent long-term solutions in a worst-case scenario.

Nick Foles is one popular name based off his record-tying seven-touchdown performance in Week 9. We can’t expect that type of production every week, but Foles will be solid with three good matchups in the next few weeks while Rodgers is out.

Case Keenum will be a hot name off the waiver wire this week anyway, but now that Rodgers is out, he’ll be starting in tons of fantasy leagues across the world, if not all of them. If you have Rodgers, pick up Keenum now. Heck, pick up Keenum even if you don’t have Rodgers because this kid is the real deal.

Other options include Jason Campbell, who is turning around the Cleveland Browns’ franchise the way Brian Hoyer did before his injury. And with the way the Bears’ offense is clicking, Josh McCown or Jay Cutler will be solid options depending on which one is starting for Chicago over the next few weeks.
