Jake Locker’s Season-Ending Injury Puts End To Titans’ Playoff Dreams

The Jacksonville Jaguars earned their first win of the season on Sunday, but that news is secondary to the most recent findings regarding the health of of Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker. Early in Sunday’s game, Locker was taken to the locker room with what was initially diagnosed as a foot injury. However, reports have surfaced that say Locker suffered a Lisfranc injury that would require season-ending surgery.

Unfortunately, this is the first time that Lockers has gone down with a serious setback. And the folks in Tennessee have grown accustomed to their “franchise quarterback” missing more time than most signal-callers around the NFL. With Locker’s most recent injury; one has to wonder what the Titans plan to do with the most important position on the field. Ryan Fitzpatrick will sere as the go-to guy for now, but the ex-Buffalo Bills quarterback isn’t exactly a play-maker and is a back-up for a reason.

Therefore, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Tennessee drafts a quarterback rather high in the 2014 NFL Draft and tells the injury-prone Locker to hit the road once he becomes a free agent after the 2014 campaign.
