Stanford Should be Ahead of Ohio State in Week 12 BCS Standings

The BCS standings for Week 12 were released on Sunday night and a top-five team was disrespected. That may sound funny, but Stanford shocked the world by not only beating previously 3rd-ranked Oregon, but by dominating the Ducks in a primetime game. After that performance, the Cardinal should be No. 3 in the rankings, ahead of Ohio State.

Now before all you delusional Buckeyes fans start crying, let’s take a look at your schedule. Oh, that’s right — you haven’t played anybody! And don’t you dare mention Northwestern. The Wildcats have lost five straight and couldn’t beat a Pop Warner team right now, yet they almost knocked off “The” OSU.

Stanford may have a loss this year, but Kevin Hogan and company have played five legitimately-ranked top 25 teams and beaten all of them. I promise you the Buckeyes would get molly-rocked against a team like Oregon, which is why it will be a crying shame if they get into the title game because it will be an Alabama-Notre Dame fiasco all over again.

Thank goodness we’re going to get rid of these blasted computers next year. The Cardinal would eat the Buckeyes for lunch in a head-to-head matchup and as if Florida State remains undefeated, we might just get the pleasure of seeing that in the Rose Bowl. Keep you fingers crossed, BCS haters.
