Best Fantasy Football Matchups of Week 11

There are a million fantasy football strategies out there, but one thing all fantasy gurus swear by is matchups. And with the playoff stretch run well underway, you might need some matchup advice in Week 11, so we’re here to help.

You may not typically think of Ben Roethlisberger as a starting fantasy quarterback, but he has the best matchup of all passers this weekend against the Detroit Lions — they’ve allowed more fantasy points than any other team over the past month except the Indianapolis Colts, who played on Thursday night.

Ray Rice is another big name who has fallen off lately, but he has the best matchup of all running backs this week as the Chicago Bears have been kinder to opposing running backs than any other team over the past four weeks save the Dallas Cowboys, who are on a bye this week.

As mentioned, the Lions haven’t been able to cover a newborn with a blanket lately, so the Pittsburgh Steelers’ receivers are in for a big day. Antonio Brown is obviously the top choice, although Jerricho Cothery and Emmanuel Sanders are your other options in Pittsburgh.

Scott Chandler is another player not normally discussed in the fantasy world, but he has the best matchup of any tight end in Week 11 as the New York Jets have given up more points to opposing tight ends than any other team since early October.

No team has given up more fantasy points to opposing defenses than the Tennessee Titans, but they played on Thursday night, so the Jets are the next-best matchup in Week 11. Shocking, I know. That means the Buffalo Bills’ defense is actually a strong play based on the matchup, so take that as you will.

And as you’ll know if you tune in to our weekly Start’em and Sit’em segment, we don’t do kickers. Good luck in Week 11!
