The Green Bay Packers went from kings of the NFC North to bottom-feeders in a matter of three weeks. It may sound crazy, but Green Bay heads into Week 12 of the season with their playoff hopes hanging by a thread. In fact, if the Packers don’t find a way to beat the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, then Mike McCarthy‘s team can kiss the postseason goodbye!
Now, a normal Packers team wouldn’t have a problem with the lowly Vikings, but let’s remember that Green Bay is wounded to say the least. Aaron Rodgers has already been ruled out of Week 12, which means Scott Tolzien will be handed the reins to the Packers offense once again. Let’s face it — Green Bay has lost three games in a row and is trending the wrong direction. A loss to the Vikings, and the Pack would slip all the way to 5-6 on the year!
The NFC Playoff picture is beginning to heat up and teams like the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions all look to be more equipped for a postseason run than the hapless Packers. The playoffs are nearing folks and the Packers look to be on the outside looking in.
