Fantasy Football Players to Drop Heading Into Week 12

Week 11 of fantasy football action was really weird as it pertains to running backs with potential. On our weekly list of players you should drop, we have four ball carriers, which is really unusual, but it’s the hard truth.

Brian Leonard was thought to be the man for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Doug Martin and Mike James both out, but it was Bobby Rainey who stole the show and will get the carries moving forward. Leonard isn’t even worth an emergency handcuff.

Dennis Johnson was also thought to be in line for work with Arian Foster out and Ben Tate nursing broken ribs, but he looked terrible against the Oakland Raiders and then was put on the bench. He doesn’t deserve a spot on your fantasy roster.

Andre Ellington has shown lots of potential this year, but he was knocked off the depth chart by Rashard Mendenhall in Week 11, so don’t trust him anymore this year.

Lamar Miller was another running back who was supplanted in the pecking order as Daniel Thomas took over the Miami Dolphins’ backfield. Miller won’t get much work for the remainder of the season.

Emmanuel Sanders is the last player on our list as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ receiver hasn’t benefitted from Ben Roethlisberger’s resurgence and he left his team’s Week 11 win with an injury. He’s toast.
