With the fantasy football playoffs right around the corner, picking the right starting lineup is more crucial than ever. We’re here to help you win your matchup in Week 12:
Case Keenum has a terrific matchup against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12 and don’t let his bizarre benching fool you; he’ll come out firing with a lot of fantasy points and a Houston Texans victory. Ryan Tannehill has been serviceable this year, but against the Carolina Panthers’ tough defense, he won’t be any help to fantasy owners, so sit him if possible.
Andre Brown should put together a nice encore performance against the Dallas Cowboys’ terrible defense, so put him in your lineup and reap the reward on Sunday. On the flip side, Ray Rice won’t be continuing his Week 11 success as the New York Jets have been tougher on running backs than 29 other teams in the past month.
Eric Decker is in line for a lot of work this week with Wes Welker recovering from a concussion and against the New England Patriots’ weak secondary, he’ll be a borderline top scorer among receivers. Mike Wallace will likely struggle against Carolina, so keep him on your bench because the Panthers have given up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers over the past month.
Garrett Graham found a great chemistry with Keenum last week and that should continue against the Jaguars, who have given up more fantasy points to opposing tight ends than any other team; start Graham with confidence. Jordan Reed has been great for fantasy owners this year until his dud performance in Week 11, which should be the case again with the San Francisco 49ers’ stingy defense coming to town, so sit him if possible.
The Baltimore Ravens’ defense hasn’t been great in fantasy land this year, but the Jets offer a terrific matchup that should allow Baltimore to capitalize on a ton of turnovers, so start this unit in all formats. The St. Louis Rams’ defense is usually solid for fantasy owners, but against the Chicago Bears’ red-hot offense, that won’t be the case, so sit this unit if you can.
And for kickers, you’ll have to look somewhere else. Good luck in Week 12!
