Washington Redskins can’t win

The Washington Redskins won’t be winning games, are you ready for this, without DT Albert Haynesworth. You read that right, and that’s according to QB Donovan McNabb. Reports surfaced yesterday that the Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans are talking trade again for the perplexing defensive tackle, according to the Washington Post. However, the team will not confirm the rumors.
The paper goes on to say that trading the tackle would be a “major shakeup” for the Washington Redskins. A major shakeup? Has anyone over at the Washington Post bothered to watch any of the Washington Redskins preseason games? And I thought QB Donovan McNabb was suffering from an ankle injury, not a head injury. He told the ESPN 980 radio, “He plays a major part in our defense and everybody knows that” the Redskins “can’t win without” Haynesworth on the team.
Exactly what major part does he play on the defense? Head distraction? I understand that McNabb is towing the company line and he made his comments most likely trying to keep some team unity, not dissing another player, but he can’t really believe that the Redskins can’t win without Haynesworth. I believe it’s the other way around. I think the team has a better chance to win without him. If he doesn’t want to be a part of the team, he’s occupying a space on the defense that could be filled by a player that actually wants to play and be in games.
I say sent him packing and let’s get on with the season already.

Im a big Redskin fan also, even when he was on the field the skins seen to manage to lose the game. We need players who love to win and not thinking about a paycheck.
