Washington Redskins find goat, cut punter

The Washington Redskins were seconds from sending this Sunday’s game into overtime, until a botched snap on an extra point caused K Graham Gano to be able to make the needed extra point. As a result, on Tuesday the Washington redskins cut P Hunter Smith, the player which failed to get the snap in place for Gano.
However, I feel that the blame in unfairly being placed on Hunter Smith and this is another strange move from a coaching staff which seems to be operating in a dysfunctional fashion. Yes, Smith botched the placement in the rain, however the snap was very high. And in all honesty, the game should never have come down to that one extra point. K Graham Gano missed two very short kicks during the game and nearly missed a 25 yard field goal.
There was plenty of blame to go around in that loss and personally I don’t think Smith should have lost his job over the play.
