If Stephen Curry wasn’t one of your favorite NBA players already, he probably is now. Just hours after ending the Golden State Warriors’ 40-year championship drought, the regular season league MVP took Skip Bayless, one of the most-hated ESPN personalities, to school on Twitter.
Bayless must be paid by ESPN to say whatever comes to his mind that will drive people insane. On Wednesday morning, he tried to reason that the team with the third-most single season wins in NBA history needs to prove they’re worthy of their championship title by winning it all over again next season.
I love Steph but GSt had a fortuitous run to title. Avoided OKC, Clips, Spurs and 4 straight injured starting PGs. Needs to validate next yr

If I recall correctly, the Larry O’Brien Trophy goes to the best team from that season. I’m not sure how winning a title next year, when none of the 30 NBA teams will have the same roster as this past season, would in any way prove who the best team was in 2015. The Warriors were also clearly better than all three of the teams Bayless listed.
As only Curry could do, he responded to Bayless and killed him with kindness.
.@RealSkipBayless Love you too Skip!

Once again, Curry proves to be the MVP. The people’s MVP.
