The Orlando Magic have a lot of young talent, a lottery pick and plenty of cap space. It can be difficult for them to attract free agents, however, they do have the option of overpaying just to get the player they want. They can also spend that money on bringing back one of their own players, Evan Fournier, who provides much-needed shooting to the team. Here’s their ideal starting five for the 2016-17 season.

Point Guard – Elfrid Payton
Payton had an up and down season, but he still shows plenty of potential as the lead ball-handler on this team. He must work on his shot, but his distribution and defense are impressive.
Shooting Guard – Victor Oladipo

Shooting Guard – Victor Oladipo
The team is still waiting for Oladipo to break out, but he has shown signs that he can be a high-quality shooting guard in the league. He has the ability to be a two-way star in the league if he can keep developing his all-around game.
Small Forward – Harrison Barnes

Small Forward – Harrison Barnes
Barnes could bring much-needed scoring to the starting lineup, and his versatility on defense would give the coaching staff all kinds of options next to Oladipo and Aaron Gordon. He would be an expensive option but could thrive in a bigger role.
Power Forward – Aaron Gordon

Power Forward – Aaron Gordon
Gordon is one of the most athletically gifted players in the league, and he has the potential to develop into a lockdown defender. It's important that he keeps working on his offensive game so that he's not a liability on that end of the court.
Center - Nikola Vucevic

Center - Nikola Vucevic
Vucevic was the team’s most consistent scorer last season and remains an underrated center in the league. He could benefit from having this much athleticism around him, which would help cover his weaknesses.
