Head coach Bill Belichick had two weeks to fully prepare for one of the top teams in the NFL. His game plan and execution were brilliant as he rallied his team through key points of the game. The Seahawks should have never underestimated how he was able to adjust when needed. This has been the case throughout his tenure with the Patriots.

The Patriots headed into the Super Bowl with a solid offensive game plan based. They knew what worked from the past and what other teams did to be effective against the infamous "Legion of Boom." Whether it was cross routes, rushing plays, screens or having quarterback Tom Brady use his check-downs and stick with hitting his open running backs, the plan was excellent.

There was a lot of talk a few years ago, when wide receiver Wes Welker left the Patriots via free agency, that the Patriots would never be the same. Well, Julian Edelman has made people forget about Welker and carving his own legacy. Edelman stepped up big at the Super Bowl with nine receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Shane Vereen was the best dual threat in the game with his combined 77 yards. It might not seem like much, but he was key in throwing off the Seahawks' defense by being Brady's last resort on check-downs.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola continues to prove he is clutch, no matter the situation. His contribution of five receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown might not seem like much, but it all came at the most perfect time. It was in the fourth quarter that once Brady hit him for the four-yard touchdown in the end zone, which represented the beginning of the end for the Seahawks.

Even though Marshawn Lynch had a pretty strong game with 24 carries, 102 yards and a touchdown, the Patriots were able to stop one of the best running backs from activating "Beast Mode" in the fourth quarter. Lynch has a knack for really taking off during clutch situations, but was effectively limited. The Patriots knew how to contain him and proved they could literally stop anything coming their way.
