The Atlanta Falcons have a total of eight picks in this year's NFL Draft. Their process begins tonight as they have the No. 8 pick in the first round. The consensus is that they are looking for a pass rusher, but so are most of the teams ahead of them. Here is a final look at what the Falcons might do with each of their picks.
Round 1: Alvin Dupree, OLB/DE. Kentucky

Atlanta had one of the worst pass rushes in the league last year. Alvin Dupree would give them an exceptional athlete who can become a very good edge rusher in the NFL. New head coach Dan Quinn will be able to put Dupree in position to make an immediate impact.
Round 2: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon

The Falcons also had their fair share of problems on the other side of the line last year. Some of it was due to injuries, but they should look to add a lineman early in the draft. Jake Fisher is a fundamentally sound player who is NFL-ready. The combination of him and last year's first-round pick, Jake Matthews, would give the Falcons a nice foundation of young tackles.
Round 3: Clive Walford, TE, Miami

No team struggled with getting production out of their tight ends as much as Atlanta did last year, as they struggled to find a replacement for Tony Gonzalez. Clive Walford isn't going to be Gonzalez, but he will certainly be better than what they had last season. He is a good blocker, which separates him from many of the other prospects who are purely pass catchers.
Round 4: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia

![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/facebook-white.png)
![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/twitter-white.png)
Ramik Wilson is an experienced linebacker who would help the Falcons in the middle of their defense. He has good lateral quickness, which helped him pile up a lot of tackles in college. Atlanta was thin at linebacker last year, and it cost them against the run. He isn't an explosive athlete but is usually in the right spot on the field.
Round 5: Quayshawne Buckley, DT, Idaho

![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/twitter-white.png)
Quayshawne Buckley would also improve the middle of the Falcons' defense. He is a good athlete for a player his size and has a variety of different moves to get to the quarterback. He wasn't always challenged with top competition playing at Idaho, which could make the transition to the NFL a harder one for him. His overall talent makes him worth a look in the fifth round.
Round 6: Tyler Varga, RB, Yale

![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/facebook-white.png)
![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/twitter-white.png)
Tyler Varga might be moved to fullback in the NFL, but he has a chance to be a useful weapon in the right system. He is a powerful runner and has pretty good speed for his size. Varga could turn into a good option on third downs because of his pass protection and ability to leak out into the flats as a receiver.
Round 7: Devante Davis, WR, UNLV

![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/facebook-white.png)
![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/twitter-white.png)
The Falcons could use another wide receiver late in the draft. Roddy White is getting up there in age, and it's hard to count on Devin Hester to be able to repeat his success from last year. Devante Davis is a big receiver who excels at going up and getting jump balls. He has trouble getting separation, which is something he will have to improve in the NFL.
Round 7: Deshazor Everett, CB, Texas A&M
![Deshazor Everett Texas A&M](/nfl/files/2015/04/7-Everett-21.jpg)

Round 7: Deshazor Everett, CB, Texas A&M

![](/wp-content/themes/rantsports4/library/images/facebook-white.png)

The Falcons have two seventh-round picks, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a shot on a cornerback with one of them. Deshazor Everett's best attribute is that he plays extremely hard all the time. That will benefit him as he tries to make a roster. He has some value on special teams as well.
