Coming off of one of their worst showings of the season, the Carolina Panthers will play host to the Atlanta Falcons during Week 14 of the 2015 NFL season. While Cam Newton was still able to lead his team to victory in the final minute of their Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints, the Panthers need to clean things up if they expect to remain undefeated against the Falcons. As for Dan Quinn‘s team, they desperately need a win on Sunday to have any hope of making the playoffs. Here are five bold predictions for this crucial matchup.

5. Josh Norman Will Hold Julio Jones Under 50 Yards Receiving

Jones only has one game this season where he didn't reach at least 50 yards receiving and that was during a 48-21 thrashing of the Houston Texans earlier in the year. Norman is the best corner in the NFL and has said numerous times before that Jones is his favorite receiver to cover in the league.
4. Matt Ryan Won't Throw An Interception

This may actually be the boldest of my predictions, as the Panthers' defense leads the NFL with 19 interceptions and Ryan has already thrown 13 to this point. If the Falcons are smart, they will feed Devonta Freeman as much as possible and take the pressure off of Ryan.
3. Charles Johnson Will Have Multiple Sacks

Johnson is two weeks removed from a hamstring injury that forced him to miss seven games. The Panthers defensive end also hasn't had a sack since Week 1, but I'm predicting that will all change this week as Johnson readies himself for the stretch run.
2. Devonta Freeman Will Have 150 Total Yards

The only way to beat the Panthers right now is to control the ball and keep their offense off the field. Freeman has proven himself to be one of the top running backs in the NFL, yet the Falcons only gave him 14 carries last week against the Buccaneers. While he did add 10 catches, the Falcons have to run the ball to have any chance against the Panthers.
1. Cam Newton Won't Throw a Passing Touchdown, But Panthers Will Still Score 30 Points

My prediction for this game is a 34-21 Panthers victory. That being said, I don't expect another five touchdown pass performance from Newton. The Falcons' defense ranks tied for fourth in the NFL in touchdown passes allowed with only 14. Expect the Panthers to take a more run-heavy approach on Sunday afternoon, especially in the red zone.
