After losing a playoff game in the worst way imaginable last week, the Cincinnati Bengals will spend the offseason figuring out how to actually win a playoff game, something they haven’t done since 1991. There are some solid pieces such as Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert and Andy Dalton, but improvements have to be made. Here are five players the Bengals should target in 2016 free agency.

5. DT Tyrunn Walker
Prior to getting hurt, Walker was one of the surprises early in 2015. He has the ability to get pressure from the inside as well as stop the run. While Domata Peko is a nice player, the Bengals could dominate with Geno Atkins and Walker side-by-side.
4. LB Vincent Rey

4. LB Vincent Rey
While Vontaze Burfict and Rey Maualuga were battling injuries in 2015, Rey stepped up as the Bengals' leading tackler. Not only is he a talented player, but he doesn't bring attention to himself on the field like the other two guys do. Re-signing Rey should be one of the first pieces of business for the Bengals this offseason.
3. C Ben Jones

3. C Ben Jones
Russell Bodine was one of the lowest graded centers in the entire league in 2015 and his snapping was a huge problem in the Bengals' loss to the Steelers last week. Jones is only 26 and he's shown the ability to be one of the top centers in the NFL while with the Houston Texans.
2. DE Greg Hardy

2. DE Greg Hardy
I don't think Hardy should be in the NFL at all, but as long as the NFL allows it, there's not much I can do. Behind the Cowboys, the Bengals possess the roster with the most punks in the league. With that being the case, Hardy would give the defense an edge rusher opposite of Carlos Dunlap.
1. CB Sean Smith

The Bengals finished the 2015 regular season ranked No. 20 in pass defense as the secondary repeatedly got burned. While Smith was outshone by rookie Marcus Peters, he was the reason Peters led the league in interceptions as teams refused to challenge the 28-year-old.
