Now that 2016 NFL free agency is finally upon us, it’s time to predict when the biggest names in the game will land.
15. Matt Forte - RB - New England Patriots

Signing big-name free agents to lucrative contracts has never been a strategy the New England Patriots employ, but with Tom Brady having just a few seasons left to obtain that elusive fifth Super Bowl ring, this offseason could be quite different. Matt Forte is exactly what New England needs, and he appears to be destined to land in Foxborough.
14. Arian Foster - RB - Denver Broncos
![Arian Foster - RB - Denver Broncos](/nfl/files/2015/12/Arian-Foster-Sam-Greenwood-Getty-Images.jpg)
The Houston Texans made the tough decision to release Arian Foster recently, rendering him perhaps the most complicated free agent of the 2016 class. There's no denying Foster is still capable of putting up insane statistics, but his inability to stay healthy has prospective suitors shaking in their collective boots. However, Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak knows Foster well from their time together in Houston, and wants him in Denver.
13. Mario Williams - DE - Miami Dolphins
![Mario Williams - DE - Miami Dolphins](/nfl/files/2016/02/Mario-Williams-Michael-Adamucci-Getty-Images.jpg)
The Miami Dolphins have been incredibly aggressive this offseason, and are rumored to be willing to do anything and everything they can in order to land Mario Williams. At 31 years old, he's likely going to sign for far more than he's worth to take his talents to South Beach.
12. Antonio Gates - TE - San Diego Chargers
![Antonio Gates - TE - San Diego Chargers](/nfl/files/2015/04/3-Copy11.jpg)
It's hard to imagine Antonio Gates playing for anyone other than the San Diego Chargers. He's Philip Rivers' favorite target and will return to San Diego one way or another.
11. Eric Weddle - S - Oakland Raiders
![Eric Weddle - S - Oakland Raiders](/nfl/files/2016/01/Eric-Weddle-Stephen-Dunn-Getty-Images.jpg)
After his tumultuous breakup with the San Diego Chargers, you just know Eric Weddle would love nothing more than to join one of their AFC West rivals and make them pay by shutting them down twice a year. Weddle and the Oakland Raiders are destined to be together.
10. Brock Osweiler - QB - Denver Broncos
![Brock Osweiler - QB - Denver Broncos](/nfl/files/2015/12/Broncos2.jpg)
It's hard to imagine Brock Osweiler getting a better deal than the three-year, $45 million contract the Denver Broncos reportedly offered him. Rumors suggest the Houston Texans are interested, but I firmly believe he will ultimately re-sign with Denver.
9. Anquan Boldin - WR - Detroit Lions
![Anquan Boldin - WR - Detroit Lions](/nfl/files/2016/02/Anquan-Boldin-Ezra-Shaw-Getty-Images.jpg)
Now that Calvin Johnson has indeed announced his retirement from the NFL, the Detroit Lions are in dire need of landing a veteran wide receiver. Anquan Boldin is rumored to be a fan of Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, making Detroit a perfect fit.
8. Lamar Miller - RB - Dallas Cowboys
![Lamar Miller - RB - Dallas Cowboys](/nfl/files/2015/12/Dolphins2.jpg)
The Miami Dolphins don't appear to be willing to give Lamar Miller a lucrative deal despite him undeniably being one of the NFL's top-10 running backs. The Dallas Cowboys have one of the top offensive lines in the league, making them a perfect fit for Miller.
7. Ryan Fitzpatrick - QB - Los Angeles Rams
![Ryan Fitzpatrick - QB - Los Angeles Rams](/nfl/files/2016/03/494205492-e1456804362244.jpg)
The Rams want to make the best possible first impression in Los Angeles, and incumbent quarterback Nick Foles isn't going to make it possible. Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets are far apart in contract negotiations, so don't be surprised if he leaves New York for Los Angeles.
6. Janoris Jenkins - CB - Oakland Raiders
![Janoris Jenkins - CB - Oakland Raiders](/nfl/files/2016/03/St.-Louis-Rams-Janoris-Jenkins.jpg)
Now that the Los Angeles Rams have elected to place their franchise tag on Trumaine Johnson instead of Janoris Jenkins, it's fair to assume Jenkins won't be making the move from St. Louis to Los Angeles. The Oakland Raiders appear to be his most likely landing spot.
5. Chris Ivory - RB - Houston Texans
![Chris Ivory - RB - Houston Texans](/nfl/files/2015/11/10-22.jpg)
Although re-signing with the New York Jets would be the ideal scenario for Chris Ivory, Gang Green is dealing with salary cap issues and probably won't be able to retain their first-string running back. Now that the Houston Texans have released Arian Foster, don't be surprised if they land Ivory.
4. Bruce Irvin - DE/LB - Atlanta Falcons
![Bruce Irvin - DE/LB - Atlanta Falcons](/nfl/files/2016/01/Bruce-Irvin-Rob-Carr-Getty-Images.jpg)
Reuniting with his former defensive coordinator and current Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn appears to be the most likely scenario for Bruce Irvin. The Falcons need all the help they can get on defense, and Quinn is said to be a huge proponent of bringing Irvin to Atlanta.
3. Prince Amukamara - CB - New York Jets
![Prince Amukamara - CB - New York Jets](/nfl/files/2015/09/GettyImages-457517458.jpg)
After releasing Antonio Cromartie, the New York Jets undoubtedly have a need at cornerback. According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, the Jets are interested in Prince Amukamara and appear to be the favorite to lure him away from the New York Giants.
2. Alfred Morris - RB - New York Jets
![Alfred Morris - RB - New York Jets](/nfl/files/2015/07/Alfred-Morris-51.jpg)
Alfred Morris didn't overwhelm in 2015 for the Washington Redskins, and undoubtedly hurt his value by failing to dominate in a contract season. Morris will likely be cheaper for the New York Jets to sign than Chris Ivory, making him a perfect fit.
1. Charles Johnson - DE - New York Giants
![Charles Johnson - DE - New York Giants](/nfl/files/2015/12/11-Copy1.jpg)
Charles Johnson is scheduled to visit the New York Giants on Sunday according to NFL.com. If he can stay healthy, Johnson is the perfect fit as a No. 2 pass rusher for the Giants now that Jason Pierre-Paul has been retained.
