The Montreal Canadiens have the entire country of Canada hoping they can finally lift Lord Stanley's Cup (well, outside of the Flames, Canucks and Senators' fans). They still look like one of the best teams in the NHL. Here are five reasons why the Canadiens will end the season lifting the Cup.
5. They Have Canada Behind Them

The country of Canada has not lifted the Stanley Cup since the Canadiens won it back in 1993. This is Canada's sport, but the American teams have owned it for a majority of three decades. It doesn't matter now about rivalries, countrymen want to see the Stanley Cup return to the perceived rightful owner.

The Montreal Canadiens are known for the man in net and an awesome defense, but what doesn't get much publicity is how much they get from their young forwards. Alex Galchenyuk has been especially great this season, especially after scoring the game winner in Friday's Game 2 win. He is only 21 years old.

The Canadiens have the second best record in the NHL, and the only time they could possibly lose home-ice advantage is if they face the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals. They have been amazing at the Bell Centre, losing only nine home games all season. That will keep them in games as much as anything else this team does.
2. Max Pacioretty

Max Pacioretty is one of the most under-appreciated superstars in the NHL. He carries the Canadiens' offense every time it seems like the sky is falling. Pacioretty led the team in goals, points and plus/minus. He is the player the team looks for when they are down, and he delivers.

There is no question, Carey Price is the best goalie in the NHL. He should deserves more than one slide of this article because of his tremendous importance to his team. He felt he was cheated last year when he was taken out by Chris Kreider and had to miss the rest of the ECF. Now he will have a chip on his shoulder and carry his team all the way the the Stanley Cup.
