It now appears that Detroit Lions rookie DT Ndamukong Suh is going to get rewarded after a very successful rookie season. The Lions player who collected a plethora of postseason accolades is now going to get a bump in his pay for the 2011 season as well.

It was reported this morning that the Lions will pay Suh $1.405 million in 2011 instead of the contract wage he was slated to earn, $405,000 dollars.

Suh swept defensive honors this post season while leading all defensive tackles in sacks this season with 10. Suh signed a contract last summer which could earn him as much as $68 million over the life of the contract and received $40 million in guaranteed monies.

It was not money ill-spent as Suh performed remarkably on the field this season and he looks to have started a very impressive NFL career.
