San Diego State's Jamaal Franklin Rips TCU In Overtime Win

By Ryan Gaydos

No. 21 San Diego State and Mountain West foe TCU played a close game that ended up in a win for the Aztecs in overtime 98-92. San Diego State is currently a sixth seed in the latest Ryan Gaydos Bracketology, but could move up after this incredible game.

It was not just the play of the Aztecs as a whole, one man stood out from all the others and that was guard Jamaal Franklin.

Franklin had already put up a 30-point game Feb. 25 against Colorado State and once again he proved how dangerous he could be against TCU as Franklin scored 35 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and recorded five assists in the victory.

Franklin’s play came up huge since the Aztecs blew an 18-point lead and fail to convert a last second play which was thwarted by the Horned Frogs’ defense.

San Diego State’s win gives them a share of the Mountain West regular season title with New Mexico.
