Earlier today, there was a 15 car crash in IndyCar race at Las Vegas.  Horrible news has just broken concerning said crash.  Dan Wheldon, a two time Indianapolis 500 winner, has reportedly died due to injuries sustained in that wreck today.  Wheldon was just 33 years old and one of the brightest stars in IndyCar.

I was not a big follower of IndyCar, but Wheldon was impossible not to like.  He was bright and engaging and loved his family and racing.  My condolences go out to his wife and two children.  This is a tragic day not only in racing, but in sports in general.

The following video is the crash from today.  Please do not watch if you are easily upset.  Remember to keep the Wheldon family in your thoughts and prayers.  I know I will
