Brandon Browner Takes Vicious Cheap Shot At Greg Jennings On Monday

By Riley Schmitt

In a game filled with penalties, somehow the refs initially missed Brandon Browner putting a vicious cheap shot on Green Bay Packers wideout Greg Jennings.  They did end up calling off-setting penalties after Jennings went after Browner.  This hit was so far away from the play, you can see why Jennings would be upset.

Seriously, the Seattle Seahawks should expect a big fine coming for Browner.  It was a dirty play, but I am a little biased.  I am a Packers fan, but the general reaction on Twitter was one of rage about this play.  Browner went out of his way to throw this hit and it was one that was not needed.

Jennings was right to be mad, but this was a game that had a lot of ref involvement.  There were almost 200 yards of penalties called and the ones they called had no rhyme or reason.  They would miss some obvious ones, but then they would call penalties on three straight plays.  It was like a horrible game of tug of war.

The refs have had a terrible week.  I think this should put pressure on the league and the regular refs to get back to the table.  The league needs the actual refs back.  The calls are starting to get absurd and you can see the refs cracking under the pressure.  They are trying their best, but they simply are not up to the task.

This will be a big fine and for good reason.  No need for this.
