It has taken years for Major League Baseball to come up with a way to top the annoyingness that is Chris Berman, but this year they may have just succeeded. It was announced Pitbull will be performing during the Home Run Derby and I am already taking bets as to what percentage of his song will be broken English/Spanish sentences that make about as much sense as Amanda Bynes Twitter account.
Chris Berman and Pitbull have both had huge success turning annoying phrases into catch marks and using other peoples talents to highlight themselves so the pairing can’t be any more perfect or any more necessary for ear plugs. The egos in these two alone actually make Bryce Harper seem like a humble guy, the grating voices repeating the same thing over and over again is enough to make any man consider throwing their television down a large flight of stairs and then lighting it on fire just to make sure it really is off.
So why even watch it if these two are so unbearable? It’s because the event itself is great, it’s one of the most exciting events of any All-Star event in any sport. It’s like being at a bar and seeing two knockouts hanging with a very loud, undesirable woman next to them who keeps hogging all of the attention. We need a wingman to keep Pitbull and Chris Berman occupied or else the whole event is going to be overshadowed by two guys who have never hit a home run in their life.
