When it comes to late night talk shows, it’s safe to say Jimmy Fallon is one of the best at what he does as he’s always finding new ways to make his fans laugh. In honor of the 2013 MLB All Star Game, Fallon decided to have a little fun with New York Mets fans since the team was hosting this year’s contest and send star pitcher Matt Harvey around to ask fans questions–mainly about himself.
As you can see in the video below, most of the fans Harvey interacted with didn’t even realize they were talking to the star pitcher until he gave them the most obvious clues in the world about who he was. While most fans had nothing but nice things to say about Harvey, it was funny to hear a few fans provide negative feedback such as Harvey overdoing the amount of pitches he throws to his lack of experience.
And of course–it was fun to see responses from fans when Harvey asked whether or not he should start in the All Star Game.
It’s always funny how some people can be the biggest fans in the world, yet still have no idea what some of their favorite players actually look like up close. Give Harvey all of the credit in the world too for managing to keep a straight face during the interviews as it must have been difficult not to burst out with laughter during certain parts of the interviews.
