Johnny Manziel has plenty of haters.
However, one NFL player and former NCAAF standout is making sure that everyone knows that he’s indeed a Johnny Football supporter…kinda.
Of course RT @Mathieu_Era: Johnny football a boss…
— Bruce Feldman (@BFeldmanCBS) August 28, 2013
The reason I say kinda is because despite calling Manziel a boss, Mathieu quickly recanted the statement by deleting his already-infamous tweet just minutes after it was initially posted. If you passed middle school — even if you didn’t — you can easily infer that someone with the Arizona Cardinals informed Mathieu of his stupidity and forced him to click the remove button.
LSU Tigers fans remember the glory days of Mathieu’s career in Baton Rouge, when he was thought to be the first defensive player to win a Heisman Trophy since Charles Woodson did it in 1997. Unfortunately, a nasty drug habit sent the “Honey Badger” into obscurity and forbid him from living up to his potential in LSU. With that being said, the Cardinals are hoping that Mathieu can provide a spark to the team’s secondary this year and will do so drug-free.
Judging by his recent tweet…that might not be the case.
Honestly — what does Manziel do that qualifies him to be a “boss?” Maybe it’s the fact that the Texas A&M quarterback simply ate skittles, drank beer and won the Heisman Trophy last year?
Who knows?
