Top 15 Celebrities Who Are Huge NFL Fans
Celebrities Who Love the NFL
Believe it or not, celebrities are real people too, and that means that a lot of them love NFL football just as much as you do, if not more. It could be because they get to schmooze on the sidelines while the rest of us have to bust out the binoculars in the nose bleeds. Or maybe, it's because while we are stuck in traffic on the way home from the game, they are on their way to one of the player's afterparties via stretch limo. Either way, there are a certain few celebs that are massive fans of their NFL teams.
It's hard to imagine how these people actually have the time to kick back, relax and enjoy a full four quarters of solid NFL football with their crazy schedules. Of course, there are those that will attend the Super Bowl only. There are those that take a look at the chili dogs and the dip and politely decline, and of course, there are those that will pass right by the cans of beer in search of the expensive bottle of champagne that somebody else brought. Those are the celebrities that are missing out, regardless of what they think appropriate football fan behavior is, and those are the celebrities that definitely didn't make our list.
So whether it's Snoop Dogg searching for the smoking section at CenturyLink Field or Lady GaGa pouring champagne on the poor suckers below her that couldn't make it up to her luxury suite, these are the celebrities that you can count on to watch every single game no matter what their obligations may be. Here are your top 15 celebrity NFL junkies.
15. Carrie Underwood
Even after a rough outing with Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, Underwood still stays true to her boys in blue.
14. Eric Stonestreet
The AT&T Fan Coach and Modern Family star, aka Cameron Tucker, is a born and bred Kansas City Chiefs fan.
13. Lady GaGa
Lady GaGa may very well be the most entertaining person to go to a game with. She has reportedly been banned from both MetLife and Yankee Stadium. She's not mad though. She still loves her New York Giants.
Not only does Fergie cheer for the Miami Dolphins in South Beach, she makes money off of them as well. Fergie is part owner of the Dolphins along with singer/songwriter Marc Anthony. That makes winning that much sweeter.
This should come as no surprise as Usher is constantly spelling out the name of his home town in every one of his smash hits. Usher is a massive fan of the Atlanta Falcons.
10. Adam Sandler
We're not quite sure who's funnier -- Sandler or the New York Jets. Regardless, Sandler continues to cheer through the pain even though his Jets are continuously the laughing stock of the NFL. Now that's devotion.
9. Katy Perry
Even though she swears to be a California girl through and through, superstar singer Katy Perry loves her New York Giants. She probably went to a game with Lady GaGa.
8. Ashton Kutcher
Growing up in Iowa, Kutcher didn't have much of anything to cheer for when it came to a professional team, so he looked to the Windy City and the Chicago Bears to get his fix.
7. Donald Trump
The Buffalo Bills? What? It's crazy but true. The Donald is a huge fan of the Bills. He should probably invest some money into the team and the city to clean things up a bit if he actually wants people to believe he loves the boys in Buffalo.
Rappers are big-time NFL fans, and Ice-T is the first of few that will round out our list. Ice-T can often be seen putting up with whatever it is the New York Jets put on the field every Sunday.
5. Matt Damon
Mr. New England himself is a huge fan of the Patriots and is another one of Tom Brady's groupies.
4. Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion
The Doggfather, aka Snoop Lion, has always been known to cheer for his beloved Oakland Raiders, but has recently had a change of heart. Snoop is a huge USC Football fan and friend of Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. Ever since Carroll left USA and took over the reigns in Seattle, Snoop has been seen inside the Seahawks locker room and hanging out on their sidelines. Much to his dismay, there is no smoking inside CenturyLink Stadium.
3. Ice Cube
The hard-nosed rapper is a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan, no matter how bad they have been over the years. I wouldn't argue about it with him.
2. MC Hammer
The Hammer grew up in Oakland and has always rooted for the Raiders on Sunday, but has been known to make his way across the Golden Gate Bridge to give motivational speeches to the rival San Francisco 49ers.
1. James Gandolfini
Perhaps the biggest celebrity NFL fan of all time was the late great actor, James Gandolfini. Before his passing, he was often seen cheering on the New York Jets and having fun with fellow Jets fans, no matter who they were and no matter how much the Jets were struggling.
