After blowing a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Houston Texans‘ fans aren’t very happy. You can’t really blame them, because there’s just no excuse for giving up that big of a lead at home. The play that turned the entire game around was no doubt Richard Sherman‘s pick-six, which tied the contest at 20. Sherman is clearly one of the best cornerbacks in football, but the throw from Matt Schaub made it all possible.
On one of the worst throws and decisions you will ever see, a hurried Schaub threw a gimme ball to Sherman. Hindsight is always 20/20 and it’s easy to say Schaub should have just taken the sack, but you cannot make that throw against any team in the NFL, let alone the best secondary in the league. You still can’t guarantee the Texans would have walked away with a victory if Schaub doesn’t make that horrible decision, but the odds are they would have taken care of business.
But what’s done is done and the end result is that Texans are now a disappointing 2-2 on the season. As a result, fans have had enough of their quarterback.
Here’s how of the Houston faithful felt after the contest:

That’s right, a good old fashioned jersey burning took place. These fans are over Schaub, but there’s no question that he’ll still be behind center moving forward. However, if the Texans fall short yet again in 2013, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Schaub era comes to an end.
