LeBron James is another guy who has been in far too many commercials since coming into the NBA. He is very well known for his Nike commercials and his "What can I do?" commercial after his decision to play for the Miami Heat in particular. LeBron does not care how many people dislike his constant appearances in commercials though, as he continues to a earn a large sum of money from them.

Although Troy Polamalu hasn't been in as many commercials as of late, every time you would turn on the TV a year or so ago, you would see his commercials for Old Spice and Head and Shoulders. Needless to say, Polamalu has made himself quite a living capitalizing on his legendary long hair and his ability on the football field.

He is best known outside of basketball for his numerous Hanes underwear commercials in the last few years. Making those commercials has allowed him to stay in good shape financially in the years after his playing career.

Danica Patrick is another person who has taken advantage of the spotlight and has used it to gain wealth. However, after years of GoDaddy commercials being jammed down sports fans' throats, the commercials have since become somewhat old and stale. She still continues to profit from them though, which is all that matters to GoDaddy and Patrick herself.

While Tiger Woods has not made nearly as many commercials since losing several sponsors in his 2009 scandal, he made a ridiculous amount of them before that scandal was made public. He had made a seemingly endless number of commercials for Accenture, Nike and Buick among others.

Eli Manning is another example of a player that used to make a ton of commercials, but now that his play has declined, he has backed off considerably in the last year or so. Between the Oreo commercials he starred in with his brother Peyton, his Citizen Eco-Drive Watch commercials and his most recent rap commercial with his brother, he has had no shortage of commercial appearances in his career.

Albert Pujols has been in many different commercials as well. He has been in high-profile commercials for MLB Extra Innings and ESPN, the one of note being the "Machine" commercial. When he left the St. Louis Cardinals, the commercials have seemingly stopped, but he made quite a lot of noise on the ad front when he was a Cardinals player.
