There are a number of athletes that seem to be more focused on their personal output and looks than what is going on with their respective teams or leagues. These athletes are rightfully referred to as being way too Hollywood, as like many actors, they are more focused on the individual than the entity. Keeping this in mind, these are the 15 athletes who are way too Hollywood for their own good.
Mayweather spends nearly all of his free time in Las Vegas, and despite being regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, it seems he could have hit another level of excellence. Perhaps this level would have been achieved if Mayweather spent less time boasting about himself and more on taking opponents seriously.
Manziel cannot seem to go more than two weeks without being spotted partying in one of America's biggest city, which has repeatedly angered the Cleveland Browns coaching staff. But even if things don't work out on the field, it would appear that Manziel does have the mentality necessary to succeed in Hollywood.
Ronaldo actually does give his all for Real Madrid and the Portugal national team, but he is way too Hollywood nevertheless. The reason for this is that Ronaldo is extremely preoccupied with his looks, and despite playing 90 minutes in steaming hot weather his hair never seems to move an inch.
Howard may not have succeeded while playing with the Los Angeles Lakers, but that hasn't kept him out of Hollywood for commercials and social gatherings. In fact, many people just wish the Houston Rockets center would be quiet and focus on winning a first career NBA Title rather than being such a nice guy.
The man formerly known as Chad Johnson has never seemed to be fully focused on the football field, which surely has played a role in him now playing in the Canadian Football League. Still, Johnson continues to have a large following on social media, and it seems he is living the life of the typical Hollywood reality television star.
Paul Bissonnette is looking for work in the NHL, where he is regarded as the funniest tough guy of all time, and quite possibly the best social media personality of any athlete in the world. One could argue Bissonnette needs to be working on his athletic skills rather than his socializing skills, but you could say that about all athletes who are way too hollywood.
Since signing a massive deal with the Seattle Mariners, Robinson Cano has traveled all over the world, most often with Jay-z by his side. Cano has always been known for his rather lackadaisical look on the baseball field, and his rising star off the field has combined to make him a classic athlete that views himself as a Hollywood star.
Wade has unfortunately been slowed down by injuries in past years, but his love of wearing the newest fashion trends has only sped up. The Miami Heat icon will never be regarded as a guy that doesn't care about winning, but his love of fashion and intermingling with Hollywood superstars buys him a spot on this list.
Leinart cannot find a job in the NFL, and a main reason for this is that football executives view him as being way too Hollywood. The former USC quarterback has always seemed at least as interested in dating Hollywood stars as becoming a top notch quarterback, although the accuracy of this view would certainly be debated by Leinart.
Neymar certainly does wonderful things on the soccer field, but there is no doubting he takes immense personal pride in keeping his hair and general looks in tact. And his love of the extravagant play makes him a perfect fit for this list.
Kane has certainly toned down his off the ice activities in recent seasons, but he is still one of the most flashy players in the NHL on the ice, and his hair often times looks like an 1980s Hollywood throwback.
Watson makes this list because, at times, it looks like his aggressiveness and fun play on the golf course is more suited for a Hollywood movie than the rather subdued PGA Tour.
Lincecum has struggled in recent seasons, but he has still maintained a rockstar image and mentality, and the trip from San Francisco to Hollywood would seem a natural one for the man known as "The Freak".
White doesn't dress or act like your normal Hollywood star, but as the face of snowboarding he is often in town for photo shoots, and numerous competitors think he is more worried with his personal image than winning competitions.
The number of former teammates and coaches that have said Alex Rodriguez is very self absorbed is absolutely appalling, and leaves the impression that this view must be true. With this in mind, it is hard not to envision Rodriguez being the guy in Hollywood that is always successful, but that all other actors love to hate.
