There are some athletes who haven't earned the privilege of being professionals. Whether it be because of their immaturity, their acts off the field or their general annoyance toward fans, these 15 athletes don't deserve to play their respective sports anymore.

Meriweather simply doesn't know how to hit properly in today's NFL. He always lowers his head and hits defenseless receivers, and that's earned him several fines and suspensions.

Finnegan is widely known as one of the dirtiest players in all of football. For the safety of other players who have to be on the field with him, this headhunter should be taken out of the game.

Metta has gotten less dirty as his career has gone on, but it's really just time for him to leave the game because his antics are getting really old.

Cooke is a headhunter in the NHL and before he permanently injures someone, he needs to be taken out of the league. If that doesn't happen in the near future, someone is going to get really hurt.

Incognito has been proven to be a bully, a lunatic and a dirty player. He was first known as a dirty player, and that's why most fans and players don't like him. Getting his annoying attitude out of the game would be beneficial.

For some time, Suh has been establishing himself as the dirtiest player in the NFL. He routinely takes cheap shots at his opposition and acts as if he's done nothing wrong. Getting him out of the game would obviously hurt his promising career, but it would get rid of plenty of potential injuries down the road.

Yet another dirty hockey player, Avery's career is nearing its end anyway. He plays cheap and hits up high on everyone he checks. One time, he even tried stepping on another players leg with his skate on in order to hurt him. There's no room for that in the NHL.

8. Ray McDonald

McDonald is being charged in a domestic violence case and if he's convicted, he should be done. Right after the league instituted new rules on domestic violence, he went out and committed the heinous act. There's no place for him in the NFL.

7. Ryan Braun

It's one thing to take PEDs, but it's another thing to lie about it and personally attack your accusers. That's what Braun did, and he frankly doesn't deserve to play baseball professionally anymore. He knew the risk he was taking when he took steroids, and apparently it was worth it for him in the long run.

Dwyer is another NFL player being charged with domestic violence crimes against his wife and son. He's already been deactivated by the Cardinals and should be let go by the league entirely.

Torres is the very dirtiest of all the dirty NHL players. On more than one occasion, he's hit guys above the shoulders and knocked them out cold. One particularly dirty hit on Marian Hossa in the playoffs earned him a 25-game suspension. Now, the NHL should make that suspension permanent.

4. Adrian Peterson

AP is in really big trouble and the league should act as soon as he's charged. Whether he thought what he was exercising proper parenting or not, we're in the 21st century and what Peterson did to his son is a felony.

Hardy has actually been charged with a domestic violence crime, but hasn't been in the spotlight as much. Anyone who hits a woman and is convicted shouldn't be playing in the NFL any longer.

Is there a single baseball fan who isn't fed up with A-Rod at this point? He took steroids, lied about it, personally attacked people and then sued his own player's union. There's no place for a liar and cheater in the game of baseball.

Perhaps Rice was unlucky in that his domestic violence issue was caught on tape, so he's made an example of; however, it's his own choices that are coming back to bite him. After that video tape was released, it's very unlikely that a single NFL team will even consider signing him again.
