Hole To Watch: Hole # 5 - The event will be held on the Arnold Palmer designed PGA West course. The course’s challenging par three makes players use their long irons, as the entire left side of the course is a surrounding lake. On this hole fantasy golfers will be luckily to escape the death trap with a par and it is fittingly nicknamed “The Intimidator.”
Formerly the Bob Hope Classic, the Humana Challenge is one of the most watched tournaments of the entire PGA season. The exciting pro-am format event always draws a huge crowd; so expect the fantasy fanatics to take full advantage this week.
One of the most popular pairings during the Pro-Am will include former United States President, Bill Clinton. Now if only Wacky Willy was eligible to be drafted in fantasy leagues.
This tournament will also be the 2013 PGA debut of superstar Phil Mickelson, so fantasy golf fans will certainly have every eye on Lefty in La Quinta. Mickelson struggled throughout the majority of last season, but he looked like himself by the end of the year. Mickelson will no doubt be a heavy favorite this week in California.

10. Robert Garrigus
Robert Garrigus – Garrigus was neck and neck with Mark Wilson at this event last season, but just missed out down the stretch. He will be a great sleeper outside of the top handful.
9. Mark Wilson
Mark Wilson – Wilson dominated this event last year, as he won the tournament with a score of 24 strokes under par.
8. Jhonattan Vegas
Jhonattan Vegas – Vegas won here in 2011 and loves the crisp greens of this true west-coast course.
7. Martin Laird
Martin Laird – The Scotsman finished 14th in his one appearance at the event, but he has notoriously been a strong golfer early in the year. Look for him to easily crack the top-10 this week.
6. Matt Kuchar
Matt Kuchar – Kuchar has cracked the top-10 in both of his 2013 tournament appearances and is starting his season in style.
5. Webb Simpson
Webb Simpson – Simpson has yet to crack the top-10 this season, but his 11th place finish at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions shows he is close to having a huge tournament in an upcoming event.
4. Bill Haas
Bill Haas – Haas won the event back in 2010 when it was still the Bob Hope Classic and finished with a score of 30 strokes under par.
3. Harris English
Harris English – English finished with a score of 14 under last week at the Sony Open and is worth keeping tabs on this week in La Quinta.

Brandt Snedeker – Snedeker finished third at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and is picking up right where he left off last season.

Phil Mickelson - Mickelson will make his 2013 PGA debut this week at La Quinta, so expect him to be a very popular pick in fantasy golf circles. It is hard to say which Mickelson will show up, but Lefty is worth the risk.
