This year’s John Deere Classic may not have big names like Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, or Adam Scott. However, there are still some reliable veterans to take a shot on this week in fantasy circles. To help you draft this week, here are the top 20 fantasy golfers for the 2013 John Deere Classic.

20. K.J. Choi
K.J. Choi – Choi is a great veteran pick and should easily crack the top-20 this weekend.
19. Jonathan Byrd
Jonathan Byrd – The Byrdman won here back in 2007. The 35-year-old may not be a threat to win anymore, but he can still have a couple solid rounds for fantasy fans.
18. Troy Matteson
Troy Matteson – He finished second here last year and also finished 10th back in 2010.
17. D.H. Lee
D.H. Lee – Lee finished third at the AT&T National and ninth at the Greenbrier Classic. The 26-year-old enters the John Deere Classic as one of the hottest golfers on the Tour.
16. Harris English
Harris English – English has four top-10 finishes on the year, including a win at the FedEx St. Jude Classic early last month.
15. Boo Weekley
Boo Weekley – Weekley has four top-10 finishes on the year. He also won the Crowne Plaza earlier this year, which some say is very similar to the course down in Silvis.
14. Kevin Streelman
Kevin Streelman – Streelman finished tied for eighth here last year with a score of 14 under.
13. Scott Stallings
Scott Stallings – After a couple rough tournaments, Stallings got back on track by finishing six under at the Greenbrier Classic last weekend.
12. Matt Jones
Matt Jones – Jones is coming off an amazing second place finish at the Greenbrier Classic last week in which he shot an 11 under.
11. Nick Watney
Nick Watney – Watney has severely disappointed this season, as he has just three top-10 finishes and has not won a single tournament. However, the veteran is still fourth in Greens Hit in Regulation (69.6) and has notoriously loved shooting on the fairways in Illinois.
10. John Senden
John Senden – Senden finished fourth at the JDC in 2012 and 12th in 2010.
9. Brendon de Jonge
Brendon de Jonge – BDJ has finished inside of the top-19 in the last three years at TPC Deere Run.
8. Ryan Moore
Ryan Moore – Moore has three top-13 finishes in his last six weeks. He also tied for eighth at this event last year.
7. Jordan Spieth
Jordan Spieth – Spieth has three top-23 finishes in his last five tournaments. The 19-year-old is having a breakout campaign and is worth taking early this week with the limited field.
6. Kyle Stanley
Kyle Stanley – Stanley finished 19th here last year and second in 2011. He will be a solid fantasy selection this week.
5. Keegan Bradley
Keegan Bradley – This is Bradley’s first appearance at TPC Deere Run. He has been resting at home for two weeks since his 18th place finish at the Travelers, so Keegs should be somewhat rejuvenated heading to Illinois.
4. Louis Oosthuizen
Louis Oosthuizen – The Ozzie finished 17th at the Greenbrier Classic and recorded four rounds (67, 68, 69, 69) of under 70. He has always shot exceptionally well on this course, as he ranks first in Proximity to the Hole, so expect him to have another strong tournament this week.
3. Charley Hoffman
Charley Hoffman – The last two times Hoffman fully competed at TPC Deere Run, he finished seventh (2010) and 15th (2009).
2. Zach Johnson
Zach Johnson – Johnson has finished inside the top-three at the John Deere Classic in three of his last four appearances.
1. Steve Stricker
Steve Stricker – Stricker has won this event three times and has averaged 65.8 strokes over his last four years. Consider Strick the top fantasy option this week in Illinois.
