If you were like me and rolled the dice on Carlos Carrasco against the Chicago White Sox, then your night should have been a really good one. If you didn't, then hopefully you went with Collin McHugh. If you happened not to go with either, then let's put the past behind us and take a look at the top five pitchers you should target tonight in daily fantasy baseball.

deGrom has been great at home games in Citi Field this season and he'll try to improve on his 1.93 ERA and 8.5 K/9 rate that he currently owns there. If anyone is worried about his bad last start and his 4.66 ERA over the past month, then it should also be noted that he still owns a 3.23 FIP and and an excellent swinging strike rate of 12 percent. He has also dominated the Philadelphia Phillies before and tonight should be no different.

4. Jason Vargas - Kansas City Royals ($6700)

Jason Vargas is one of those pitchers that is only start-worthy depending on the matchup and tonight happens to provide one of those ideal matchups. His opponents tonight, the Cleveland Indians, are ranked 28th on the season against left-handed pitchers. Additionally, Vargas owns a 2.59 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 5.74 K/9 rate over the past month. This lines up extremely well for Vargas to have another quality start and get the win.

3. Jon Lester - Oakland Athletics ($10,000)

Lester's history against the Los Angeles Angels has been a successful one. Since 2010, he has a 3-1 record with a 2.00 ERA and an 8.3 K/9 rate in five starts. This includes his last start where he held them to one run over seven innings while striking out seven. On the flip side, the opposing pitcher Jered Weaver has been terrible against the Oakland Athletics this season. There's no need to overthink this one. Lester is a solid pick tonight.

2. Felix Hernandez - Seattle Mariners ($11,000)

Hernandez seems to always appear on this list on the days that he starts and there is good reason for that. Once again, for the past month, he's been dominant with a 2.48 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and an 8.54 K/9 rate. He gets to face a red-hot Washington Nationals team, but they have only been hitting .216 on the road over the past two weeks. This seems like a great night for King Felix to cool them off and I believe he will get the job done.

1. Chris Archer - Tampa Bay Rays ($8600)

Chris Archer has been on an absolute tear. Over the past month, he has a 2-0 record with a 1.99 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and an insane 11.08 K/9 rate. Additionally, his FIP is 1.71, showing that he's been even more dominant than it seems. While there is concern over his past struggles against the Boston Red Sox, Archer is facing them while they've struggled over the past 11 games and they seem ripe for the picking. This makes Archer the top SP for tonight.
