Week 1 Fantasy Football: Don’t Forget About Reggie Bush

Heading in to Monday Night Football, almost everyone has seen their fantasy football running backs either succeed, or fail. The only exceptions being the handful of backs that have yet to play in the two MNF contests.

One of these late-night standouts to watch for is RB Reggie Bush of the Detroit Lions. Bush finished with 1,500 all-purpose yards and once again showed how productive he could be in this high-powered offense.

Detroit faces the New York Giants on MNF, which is a dream matchup for the elusive back. New York’s  front-seven isn’t exactly star-studded and the team isn’t fast enough to be able to keep Bush from getting to the corner. Bush has the chance to shineagasint this un in primetime.

Bush has only finished a full 16-game season once in the past six seasons. He always come with some injury risk, but he is as safe as they come since it is only Week 1. He will be at 100%, and even if it will only be for a short time, this is the time to get Bush active.

The former USC standout also has competition in the backfield, as Joique Bell emerged as a legitimate option in 2013. Luckily, Detroit’s offense is on the field enough to make both of these backs viable options in fantasy this season.

Bush will be the ultimate flex option again this season. He won’t necessarily be a threat to rack up double-digit touchdowns and will likely get hurt at some point soon, but until then he will rack up the all-purpose yards for fantasy fans.
