There may be several bench quarterbacks gaining a good deal of attention this week around the fantasy football world, but make no doubt about it, Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III is a must-start this week. He was drafted to be a starter for a reason and it helps that Washington has an extremely favorable matchup this weekend.

In Week 1 against the Houston Texans, Griffin put up pretty awful stat line. He finished the day 29-37 for an impressive 78.4%. He also racked up 267 passing yards on the day and didn’t throw a single interception. Unfortunately, he didn’t throw a single touchdown either. The former first round pick was utterly useless from a fantasy standpoint and Griffin’s poor outing will cause man owners to leave him on the bench this weekend.

Griffin’s matchup this week though is much easier, as Washington hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville surrendered 275 passing yards in Week 1 to the Philadelphia Eagles, which ranks them 23rd in the league. They will have a very tough time trying to contain DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon on the outside, so expect a much better performance from RG3 this Sunday.

No matter what, Griffin will put up huge numbers this week. I fully expect him to go over the 300-yard mark and throw at least two touchdowns against the lackluster Jacksonville defense.
